Chief Nation is a small and close-knit London-based agency. They’re event managers and digital marketing whizzes, specialising in technology companies and customer experience.
The team spend their time between the office, events, meetings, and different continents. The events team is headquartered on the fifth floor, the digital team on the sixth. While there is a lot of moving up and down (maybe partially, not only, because the coffee machine lives on the top floor), it’s not every day that the agency has the chance to get involved in a whole-team effort. That’s why they had the idea to see out the summer with an ‘Active August’, getting on their running trainers, wheeling out their bikes, and raising money for a charity.
The choice of charity was easy – Steve, who founded Think Malawi back in 2009, is also a freelance designer for Chief Nation, and what better way to give something back than to help communities elsewhere, and supporting one of your team members at the same time?
The idea is to accumulate as many exercise miles as possible. The company is sponsoring each mile, which is topped up by one-off donations from family, friends, and clients.
Managing Director Richard has been running about 8 miles each way between home in south east London and work In Farringdon. Craig, also Managing Director, has done a one-mile walk with his toddler. The bottom line is that no matter the distance, all efforts count!
So far, they’ve racked up 114 miles, and they’re giving it their final push until the end of the month.
The ultimate goal is to raise £1000 for the Her Education Matters project – if you want to help them race to the finish, you can visit their Virgin Giving Page to donate: https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/fundraiser-display/showROFundraiserPage?userUrl=ChiefsActiveAugust&isTeam=true
